Valentine's Day Shoot: Pimpuyasha Makes The Scene!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Since it's the day of love, I decided to call in the doctor of love. I'm talking of course...about Pimpuyasha! (Well, it's actually Inuyasha in Kig Daddy Cool's attire, but I thought he looked really good in it)

Anywho, Pimpuyasha knows a lot about the patron saint of love. It helps when you're in a love triangle with a priestess of your time and the reincarnation of said priestess. Does it get messy? You bet, but he's so cool with his loves that they don't mind....much.

New Fanart...& First Looks Of The New Mystery Guest

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Man, it has been an awfully cold day. We got about five inches of snow here in the northeast, so while I'm not in classes, I'm busy digging my home out of the snow's evil clutches. BUM BUM BUMMMM! Anywho, on to the updates!

If you'll look to the left, you'll see a wonderfully painted picture of Inuyasha, poised with Tetsaigua in hand. This comes to us, courtesy of Charlest. He's done two pieces including Inuyasha, and you can check them out now by clicking here.

Now onto the next update, remember when I got the postcard from the mystery person who is coming to the Dojo? Well apparantly, this mysterious guest is coming in the form of a new kigurumi mask. I still don't know the name of the guest (except for the initials of E.E.) so I've decided to post the photos he has sent me online and call the preparation,

Project E². Here are the first photos of the new mask.

As you can see, there are a lot of happenings on the Kigurumi Dojo, so stay tuned for when the mystery guest's appearance.

First Post of 2010: A New Visitor Approaching!

Hello everyone! Hope your week is getting off on the right track. Anywho, this will be a special post. Why is it special? Simply because....we have a new face coming to the Kigurumi Dojo real soon. It's been a while since we had a new face around the place and we're so excited.

The other day, I was checking my mail, and I got this postcard from far away. It said that someone would be coming to live with Kenshin, Inuyasha and myself at the Dojo. They didn't give their name, only the initials, E.E.

What could E.E stand for? Electric Eels? Enormous Elephants? Elderly Electabuzz? It's quite the mystery to me. All I know is, a new character is coming to the Dojo real soon, so keep tuned in and get ready for this mystery visitor.

Christmas Photoshoot Pt. 2: Christmas Dos and Don'ts

Happy Thursday, everyone. I can't believe a week from tomorrow will be Christmas. I'm so excited, and the fact that I can participate in the Winter Holiday Shoot from Rabbit's forum (There Rabbit, don't say I've never promoted your site for ya).

Anywho, for this Christmas shoot, we decided to do a guide to the holiday season, properly titled "Christmas Dos and Don'ts" We hope that this holiday season, you will take from the examples Kenshin & Inuyasha will show on how and how not to celebrate this joyous season.

Kigurumi Dojo Christmas pt. 1: A Christmas Classic Revised

Happy Saturday, everyone. As you know, we are less than two weeks away from Christmas, one of the best times of the year. The time where it is better to give than to receive. Because we believe that here at the Kigurumi Dojo, we decided to get the gift giving off to an early start.

The first gift is an oldie, but a goodie. For those who have been around since the "Kigurumi Zone" era, you will most likely know of the kigurumi comic I made for Christmas. It was my first comic, and it was a big success in the Kigurumi community. Mostly because it was the first and only attempt at a christmas comic for kigurumi. Well, after looking through a series of archived files, I came across the file and decided to dust it off and present it for 2009.

It's over 5 years old, but it still has a special place in my heart, and I hope it will have a special spot in yours. Now, being that it's old, you'll see a few different flaws in my kigurumi back then. The more significant of them being I have a small hole in one of the fingers of my bodysuit. Still, it's a classic from the early days of my kigurumi career.

New Fanart...& New Page Open.

Happy 1st of December, folks. Hope you're having a wonderful day so far. I've been busy with wrapping up Autumn quarter for school, so that means next week....UPDATES, UPDATES, UPDATES! Sadly, for now, all I can give you is this....

A fan of the Kigurumi Dojo submitted a piece of fanart to me the other night, and I thought it was so cute, I just had to get it up on the site right away. The artist's name is Kokoro and she has drawn Kenshin as a chibi (small body, big head).

This actually kinda reminds me of the Rurouni Kenshin bobble head that I've been wanting for a while now. (HINT: Now someone knows what they could get me for Christmas)

I've also been working on the Gallery page. I've broken it down to two pages: Fanart and Photo Album. The Photo Album is the main page for my kig photos, and the Fanart page is the page for, well, fanart. You can access them by clicking on the gallery button.

The Day After Thanksgiving: Stuffed Like The Turkeys That Came Before Us!

Happy Black Friday, everyone. Well, the Thanksgiving season is over and we are well under way into the Christmas season. Wow, it's just so hard to believe that it's almost that time of year. One of my favorite times of years is almost upon us, and that means only one thing....SALES, SALES, & MORE SALES!

What is it what drives thousands of people out of bed at the crack of dawn to stand in line for hours on end? Well, according to Wikipedia, Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, which is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. The term dates back to at least 1966, although its usage was primarily on the East coast. The term has become more common in other parts of the country since 2000. Because Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, Black Friday occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November. According to Reuters, in 2007 135 million people participated in the Black Friday shopping rush more than turned out to vote in the 2008 United States presidential election, which recorded the largest voter turn out in history.
