Sakura Matsuri Festival 2011 - Part 1

Well it's finally summer time, and it's time for a BIG photo gallery update. As many of you may know by now, I got to attend the Sakura Matsuri Festival in Washington D.C. earlier this year and the kigurumiers were flooded with photographers. It saw the debut of several new faces, including Murasaki, and the return of Fantesca Design, the creator who made Inuyasha and Kenshin into mask form.

They came from all directions to take photos of our kigurumi and we hardly made it through the the festival. We were THAT popular. Now for this particular gallery, there were so many photos taken, I have to break it down into several parts, just so you can get the full experience of the festival.

Gallery Update - Introducing Pamela

Well, once again, it is time for another update to the gallery. I know I've been neglecting, but I just got back from a long trip to Washington D.C. so I have a LOT of catching up to do.

Look on the bright side, I got a new galley posted. Who is the love blue angel in the photo to the left? Her name is Pamela, and she is a trophy wife. For those who don't know what that is, a "trophy wife" is a young, attractive woman regarded as a status symbol for an older man.

Does she look familiar? Actually, she's Jovina's male gentlemen kigurumi from our photoshoot at Otakon last year. However, we decided to turn him into a robust and busty female. She's ready for any gentlemen to take her off to live in the lap of luxury, but for now, she'll have to settle with having her own photoshoot on the site.

Spring Fling 2011 - Kitsune Priestess

Happy Monday everyone....

Today is a very good day for two reasons. First, Osama Bin Laden is officially dead, and the monster that was responsible for the tragic attack on September 11, 2001 has been brought to justice.

Second, I have a new photoshoot up in the gallery. At Spring Fling, Jovina brought out her classic Kitsune character and decided to give that mischievous vixen a chance to be an adorable shrine maiden. What would happen if she got a hold of the Shikon Jewel? What happens if she got a hold of a priceless emerald?

Spring Fling 2011 - Friday at the Jefferson Memorial

Well, it's about time that I get this site back up and stocked with some brand new photos, and that is what I am to do.

For those who don't know, I was fortunate enough to attend Jovina's annual Spring Fling in beautiful Maryland and I got to do so many different things while there. Of course, I had a camera on hand to take photos, and we begin with a trip to the Jefferson Memorial in Washington D.C.

Who is the lovely kigurumier in the photo? Me, of course. ^_^ Just kidding. The beautiful kigurumi next to me is Murasaki, a new face in the kigurumi community, and once she and Inuyasha met, there was instant synergy between the two.

Despite the rain and slick conditions, we still made it to DC and did a photoshoot, and that photoshoot is available now in the newly revamped gallery. You can check it out underneath the Kigurumi Outings.

Sugoicon 2010 & Holiday Photoshoot

It is now December, and man is it COLD!! Brrrr! Break out the gloves and mittens and get ready for a warm streak of photo updates.

The first photo update...Sugoicon. Almost a month ago, Shion and I were fortunate enough to attend a local Cincinnati anime convention, and the reception was nothing more than warm. People were pulling on us, asking for photos and hugs. Truly it was a wonderful time.

Now, I am still working on the new gallery, so I haven't uploaded the gallery for Sugoicon to the site yet. However, I have uploaded them to my Facebook account (Cody Nakamura), but you can view the gallery, even if you're not a friend on FB with me by clicking here.

Now, as for a Holiday photoshoot, well that's right around the corner and Edward is dying to get his hands on using alchemy to make some wonderful holiday decorations. You'll have to see that when the gallery is up.

10.3 pt. 1: Edward Elric's Journal Entry #2

Here is journal entry #2 in Edward Elric's Journal...

Date: ??? - Wather: Stormy. I don't remember much. I was woken up by a bright light. At first I thought I was about to face God for what I had done to Al and my mother, but Winry and Granny Pinako were there, so I must have gone to the other place. Heh heh. After I felt better, Winry conked me on the head with her wrench for that one.

No, I was alive, but I had lost so much blood, Winry and Granny had to perform an emergency Automail operation to stop me from bleeding to death. The pain was excruciating, but it was nothing…compared to what Al had gone through. A week or two has passed since the operation, though I'm not sure. I've been sleeping most of the time. It hurts too much to be awake and think of the taboo I had performed.

Everyone's concerned I'm depressed and just because I'm not hungry, that I won't eat. I reason I won't eat is because Winry keeps giving me milk at each meal. I HATE milk, it tastes like vomit. She says if I don't drink it, I won't grow, but what does she now about the human anatomy, anyway? I shouldn't be so hard on her. I know she's worried about me. I heard her talking about how she is working night an day on my new automail arm and leg, and how I need to be careful with them. I pretended to be asleep so she didn't know I was listening, but she sounded.....sad about what happened to me and Al.

Somehow….I know this is my father's fault. He should have been there, but he wasn't! No. This was my fault. I tried to bring my mother back to life, and do something that should never be attempted. It wasn't his fault. I'm the only one to blame. Somehow…I am going to make this right.

10.3 pt. 1: Edward Elric's Journal Entry #1

Today is an important day for FMA fans. If the date "10.3" rings a bell, then you know what it means. For those who don't know, it was the day that Edward and Alphonse burned their house down and never looked back at what had happened in their lives.

I have recently found an journal and with Edward's permission, have decided to post the first entry of his first person account of what happened that day.

"10.1. It was cloudy…I remember that all too well. Our mother had passed away and Al and I didn't know what else to do. Our father left a long time and didn't even have the respect to be at her funeral. I'll never forgive him for walking out on her. It was his job to be there for us!

Our mother was beautiful. She always put us above herself, even as she got sicker. We tried our best to take care of her, but one day…she was taken from us. It was as if our very hearts were ripped out of our bodies and thrown on the cold, unforgiving ground. It was then we decided…we WOULD see our mother again.

I had done research on the human body. I had its chemical makeup down to the very last bit of calcium in a person's fingernails. All it needed…was one final ingredient. Al and I cut our fingers and added our blood to the recipe, hoping it would be the soul's information to make our mother remember us. We took a deep breath…and began the process.

The room filled with a bright yellow light filled the room, and hope began to return to our hearts. We were excited that we would see our mother change. Then…it all went wrong. Something was not right. The room turned a crimson red as we looked at each other confused. We didn't know what was happening.

Then, a giant eye opened in the middle of the floor. We didn't know what it was until it was too late. Al's body…began to break down in front of me. I tried to reach him, but I felt a sharp pain in my left leg, as if it were being ripped from my body. I looked, and saw my leg was being dematerialized. Despite the great pain, I tried to reach Al, but I was too late. They took him in a burst of white light.

Once it died down. I found myself in a place I had never seen before. In front of me stood a giant door. It began to open, and as it did, these black tentacles grabbed me and slowly pulled me in. I tried to fight back, but it was too strong.

Inside the gate, my mind began to fill with the knowledge of the ages. I was shown the universe, a tremendous quality of information was forced directly into my head. The pain was unbearable as if I could feel my head crack from all the information pushing itself in.

I was then flashed back to the basement of my house. My left leg was gone, and I was in excruciating pain. Al was gone, and what was left was not what we had wanted. We prayed to get our mother back, but instead…got a monster of unthinkable horror. It was not what we wanted at all. It was…the thing nightmares were made of.

I was in pain as I cried for my brother. I saw a suit of armor on the ground and slowly inched myself over to it. I planned to get him back at the cost of my soul. I would not let them keep him. He was all that I had left. I offered my right arm, and my heart, and performed the transmutation.

The next thing I remember…was Al, attached to the suit of armor, holding me in his arms. We had tried to play God…and we paid the ultimate prices.

Otakon 2010: Comic Edition!

Hey everyone,

Did you like the Otakon 2010 photoshoot? Well, we got a lot of great photos, and it got me thinking. What if we could tell our little Otakon story with these photos?

Therefore, I am pleased to present the revival of "Kigurumi Manga". I originally did a kigurumi comic about three years ago with "The Kigurumi Night Before Christmas" and I recently saw Ryunosuke Sozaiya's kigurumi comics and it got me wanting to revive the "Kigurumi Manga" franchise and I started with Otakon 2010 pt.1.

Otakon 2010: Part 2

Ahoy, me hearties! This be another update on our maiden voyage from Otakon 2010. Okay, enough pirate schtick, It's time for another update.

Part 2 of our photoshoot from Otakon 2010. As you can see, Edward has found a useful weapon to use against the Homunculi, or maybe even againt Col. Roy Mustang.

It's amazing how Edward could transmute a powerful weapon such as a canon without making a transmutation circle. The photoshoot includes: a tour of the inner USS Constellation, a tour of the Captain's Quarters, and a possible proposal to a certain kigurumi lass?

Edward Elric: Kig Tested, Mignogna Approved!

Happy Thursday Everyone,

Do you know who the person in the photo to the left is? Well if you don't, I'll tell you. The person in the photo is none other than voice actor Vic Mignogna, who is best known for voicing classic characters as Broly from DragonBall Z, Kurz Webber from Full Metal Panic, and most significantly, Edward Elric from Fullmetal Alchemist.

For those who don't know, Vic was recently at Otakon 2010, and so was Edward. Sadly, they did not get to meet each other, and that made me sad....until today.

A good friend of mine got to interview Vic on his radio show and told him about how I was getting a kigurumi of Edward and Vic got excited about it. Yesterday, to my surprise, I got an email from none other than Vic Mignogna himself.

Apparently, my friend had shown him some of the photos from Otakon and he sent me an email. It read as follows...

"Hey there! I just wanted to drop you a note to tell you how amazing your Edward kigurumi looks! I'm sorry I didn't get to see you in person at Otakon, but I hope you'll come to another con someday soon so I can see that awesomeness in person!"

Receiving that email was a very humbling moment. Having fans of all ages come to my site, see me at conventions and take my picture is awesome, but to have the voice actor to one of the characters you portray email you to tell you it's awesome is truly something special. Of course I appreciate all my fans and visitors.

Otakon 2010: Part 1

Happy Saturday everyone,

I tell ya, I had quite the time at Otakon 2010. Sure there was a lot of lines, I didn't get to see Vic Mignogna, and the entire con was evacuated because someone pulled a fire alarm, but aside from that, it was a pretty good time.

I was not the only one to have a good time at Otakon. I was also joined by the lovely Kiki Feegata, Splint, Jovina, and newcomer Darkhorse_Steele. We got to do a photoshoot on Baltimore's fammed USS Constellation, a former US battleship that has become a popular tourist attraction in the Inner Harbor.

We decided to to a Victorian theme, which explains the attire of the girls and a very feministic looking blue haired gentlemen. Edward was already dressed for the occasion so he fit in perfectly as well.

Introducing Edward Elric...THE FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST!!!

Happy Friday everyone,

Well, if you didn't hear from someone else, our newest member has finally arrived and in a big way. For the first time in five years, we have a new member of the Kigurumi Dojo. So with out further adue, I present to you...

The Fullmetal Alchemist...EDWARD ELRIC!!!

For those who are unfamiliar with the anime, here's a small summary of his character...

"Edward Elric, the "Fullmetal Alchemist", is the youngest State Alchemist in the history of the fictional country of Amestris, and the main character of the series. Edward's left leg and right arm were mystically severed in a failed attempt to resurrect his dead mother and have been replaced with sophisticated prosthetics called automail; he and his younger brother, Alphonse Elric, scour the world in search of the Philosopher's Stone in the hopes of restoring their bodies."

So while he is here, he will be busy trying to find this philosopher's stone and get he and his brother's bodies back to normal. Be sure to stay tuned to the Kigurumi Dojo for new photos and updates on the continuing story of Edward Elric.

New Downloadable Wallpaper - Kigurumi "Lost" Wallpaper

Happy Monday. Wow, summer is just around the corner and that means two things: 1) New summertime photoshoots and 2) Season finales on TV. That's right, when the summer raises, our favorite shows go into reruns while the new seasons get ready to roll.

Of course this year, we say goodbye to two very popular shows. The first, the original Law & Order. I love the original, but due to low ratings, NBC has pulled the plug on Dick Wolf's gift to the world. Shame too, because one more season and Gunsmoke's 20 season record would have been shattered. I don't care what you say, Lennie Brisco (Jerry Orbach) is the BEST detective on L&O of all time.

The second series we say goodbye to is the cult classic "LOST" Now, while I don't know a lot about the series, it's still a very popular show about some people on an island finding some kind of hatch or something. Anywho, in honor of LOST's series finale, I have made a special parody wallpaper to the popular logo. Instead of saying "LOST", it says "KIGURUMI" It might actually inspire the writers to make a second series with Kigurumi characters. I know who would get off the island....Inuyasha.

Edward Elric Update

I know I've been lacking on the updates and I apologize for that. I've been super busy with life and I promise within the next few weeks that I will post an update.

For now, let's stick to our newest guest, Edward Elric. While he hasn't made his presence known in the Dojo, he has gained the attention of his American voice actor, Vic Mignogna. Vic was the guest on my friend's radio show and he mentioned Edward to Vic and kigurumi as a whole, and Vic googled it and was blown out of his seat with what he saw.

Warning! Challenger Approaches! New Face to the Kigurumi Dojo!

It's Wednesday, and it's time to unveil the new face of Kenshin's Kigurumi Dojo. It's been a good five years since Kenshin and Inuyasha have started this small kigurumi dojo, and now we have a brand new comer. Edward Elric comes to us from the world of Fullmetal Alchemist, an anime that has gained recent popularity the world over for its story of two brothers trying to regain what was lost when they attempted to revive their dead mother using alchemy.

Is he here? Yes. Is he ready to debut? Yes. Is he ready for a photoshoot? No. Apparently on his trip over, the planes sent his suitcase to the wrong area so it will be a few weeks before he can have a proper photoshoot. Inuyasha The Magician Conjurs Spring Photoshoot

Happy Thursday, everyone. Well, Spring has finally arrived and the Winter thaw has finally begun. That means it's time to dust off the old green screen, get the costumes out and do a photoshoot. Inuyasha, D-Generation X Army Member Shoot

Hello, and Happy Sunday everyone. Man, it's amazing how much your personal clock can be thrown off because of Daylight Savings. I hope you remembered to set your clocks forward one hour.

Anywho, let's get on to the update. For those who don't know, WWE presents Wrestlemania 26, live Sunday March 28th on PPV, and it's a big one this year. In one of the main events, the Heart Break Kid Shawn Michaels will face the Undertaker in an epic rematch. The stakes are extremely high. If HBK wins, the Taker 17-0 streak is broken, but if Taker wins, HBK's career is over.

In support of Shawn Michaels, Inuyasha shows his support with his D-Generation X Army attire. He's ready to go to war for Heartbreak and will follow him no matter what. Valentine's Day Shoot: Pimpuyasha Makes The Scene!

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Since it's the day of love, I decided to call in the doctor of love. I'm talking of course...about Pimpuyasha! (Well, it's actually Inuyasha in Kig Daddy Cool's attire, but I thought he looked really good in it)

Anywho, Pimpuyasha knows a lot about the patron saint of love. It helps when you're in a love triangle with a priestess of your time and the reincarnation of said priestess. Does it get messy? You bet, but he's so cool with his loves that they don't mind....much.

New Fanart...& First Looks Of The New Mystery Guest

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Man, it has been an awfully cold day. We got about five inches of snow here in the northeast, so while I'm not in classes, I'm busy digging my home out of the snow's evil clutches. BUM BUM BUMMMM! Anywho, on to the updates!

If you'll look to the left, you'll see a wonderfully painted picture of Inuyasha, poised with Tetsaigua in hand. This comes to us, courtesy of Charlest. He's done two pieces including Inuyasha, and you can check them out now by clicking here.

Now onto the next update, remember when I got the postcard from the mystery person who is coming to the Dojo? Well apparantly, this mysterious guest is coming in the form of a new kigurumi mask. I still don't know the name of the guest (except for the initials of E.E.) so I've decided to post the photos he has sent me online and call the preparation,

Project E². Here are the first photos of the new mask.

First Post of 2010: A New Visitor Approaching!

Hello everyone! Hope your week is getting off on the right track. Anywho, this will be a special post. Why is it special? Simply because....we have a new face coming to the Kigurumi Dojo real soon. It's been a while since we had a new face around the place and we're so excited.

The other day, I was checking my mail, and I got this postcard from far away. It said that someone would be coming to live with Kenshin, Inuyasha and myself at the Dojo. They didn't give their name, only the initials, E.E.

What could E.E stand for? Electric Eels? Enormous Elephants? Elderly Electabuzz? It's quite the mystery to me. All I know is, a new character is coming to the Dojo real soon, so keep tuned in and get ready for this mystery visitor.

Christmas Photoshoot Pt. 2: Christmas Dos and Don'ts

Happy Thursday, everyone. I can't believe a week from tomorrow will be Christmas. I'm so excited, and the fact that I can participate in the Winter Holiday Shoot from Rabbit's forum (There Rabbit, don't say I've never promoted your site for ya).

Kigurumi Dojo Christmas pt. 1: A Christmas Classic Revised

Happy Saturday, everyone. As you know, we are less than two weeks away from Christmas, one of the best times of the year. The time where it is better to give than to receive. Because we believe that here at the Kigurumi Dojo, we decided to get the gift giving off to an early start.

The first gift is an oldie, but a goodie. For those who have been around since the "Kigurumi Zone" era, you will most likely know of the kigurumi comic I made for Christmas. It was my first comic, and it was a big success in the Kigurumi community. Mostly because it was the first and only attempt at a christmas comic for kigurumi. Well, after looking through a series of archived files, I came across the file and decided to dust it off and present it for 2009.

It's over 5 years old, but it still has a special place in my heart, and I hope it will have a special spot in yours. Now, being that it's old, you'll see a few different flaws in my kigurumi back then. The more significant of them being I have a small hole in one of the fingers of my bodysuit. Still, it's a classic from the early days of my kigurumi career.

New Fanart...& New Page Open.

Happy 1st of December, folks. Hope you're having a wonderful day so far. I've been busy with wrapping up Autumn quarter for school, so that means next week....UPDATES, UPDATES, UPDATES! Sadly, for now, all I can give you is this....

A fan of the Kigurumi Dojo submitted a piece of fanart to me the other night, and I thought it was so cute, I just had to get it up on the site right away. The artist's name is Kokoro and she has drawn Kenshin as a chibi (small body, big head).

This actually kinda reminds me of the Rurouni Kenshin bobble head that I've been wanting for a while now. (HINT: Now someone knows what they could get me for Christmas)

I've also been working on the Gallery page. I've broken it down to two pages: Fanart and Photo Album. The Photo Album is the main page for my kig photos, and the Fanart page is the page for, well, fanart. You can access them by clicking on the gallery button.

The Day After Thanksgiving: Stuffed Like The Turkeys That Came Before Us!

Happy Black Friday, everyone. Well, the Thanksgiving season is over and we are well under way into the Christmas season. Wow, it's just so hard to believe that it's almost that time of year. One of my favorite times of years is almost upon us, and that means only one thing....SALES, SALES, & MORE SALES!

What is it what drives thousands of people out of bed at the crack of dawn to stand in line for hours on end? Well, according to Wikipedia, Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, which is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season. The term dates back to at least 1966, although its usage was primarily on the East coast. The term has become more common in other parts of the country since 2000. Because Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday in November in the United States, Black Friday occurs between the 23rd and the 29th of November. According to Reuters, in 2007 135 million people participated in the Black Friday shopping rush more than turned out to vote in the 2008 United States presidential election, which recorded the largest voter turn out in history.

Neko Red Riding Hood pt. 2 Gallery Posted

Greetings, and happy Monday everyone. Well, the Halloween candy is gone, the Birthday cake is well...not ready yet. We've been a little busy, and I do promise a video very very soon, so be patient. Anyhow, Halloween is over, so now we need to get back on track.

Open right now in the Casual Outfits page of the Gallery is the second and final part to the final Otakon 2009 Secret Photoshoot: Neko Red Riding Hood. Of course, with the classic tale of Red Riding Hood, you need a Big Bad Wolf. What will happen to Neko Red now that the Big Bad Wolf has arrived on the scene? Will he make a meal out of her, or, is there more to this cute catgirl than meets the eye

On that note, I want to thank Jovina for taking part in the photoshoot. She was kind enough to portray the Big Bad Wolf and provide the props for this photoshoot.

Actually, I want to thank Jovina for hosting these yearly photoshoots at her house. She was incredibly nice to let me use her costumes and her masks, and for that I owe her a big thanks and hope that she will continue to let me do shoots at her house and posting them to the site. I also want to thank Kiki Feegata for letting me borrow the costume. I love it so much and it has a poofy skit which makes it more fun to wear.

Happy Birthday to Cody & Inuyasha's Age Revealed!!!

Happy Tuesday, everyone. I hope it's as good a day as it is for you as it is for me. Why is it so good for me? Well....IT'S MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! That's right, I turn the big 22. Well, okay it isn't big, but it's still

important to me. In case you were wondering, a birthday, according to Wikipedia, is the anniversary of the particular day on which a person was born. Though by no means universal, such occasions are celebrated in numerous cultures, often with a party or, in some instances, a rite of passage.

Though major religious traditions such as the Buddhist or the Christian celebrate the birth of their founders, the most obvious example of which is Christmas, principled opposition to the very idea of celebrating birthdays is to be found among certain religious groups.

The magic number makes me wonder something, though, and that is..."How old is Inuyasha?" Now, we all know that Inuyasha is not only half dog demon, but he's also half human. For those who don't know, Inuyasha was pinned to a sacred tree by the priestess Kikyo, and went into a deep sleep for over fifty years, until Kagome inadvertently released him.

Thanks to technology and science too complicated to go into detail about, we have finally been able to pinpoint Inuyasha's accurate age. Now, every one (1) human year equals 10.5 in dog years. Now, we'll assume Inuyasha was 18 in human years when he was pinned to the tree, so that would make him 85. Now, we add the fifty years he was pinned to the tree to that and we get 68 in human years, and in dog years...285 YEARS! So...what do you get the half demon, half human that has everything? An iPod, A Wii, maybe a new sword forged from his father's fang? These are just hints people, so make sure you get something that suits Inuyasha.

Happy Tuesday, everybody. I know it's been a week or two since I've posted everything, but I just had a little FTP troubles. Don't worry, I got it under control so we're back up and running.

Halloween 2009: Inuyasha as "Inuyacula"

Happy Friday everyone. Well, it's October, and that means it's almost time for Halloween, the say when we all get to dress up as witches and ghosts to get tons and tons of candy. Of course, Halloween to kigurumiers is like Christmas because we get to go out in costume.

In honor of halloween, Inuyasha and Kenshin are going to do Halloween shoots. First up is Inuyasha, and he has a little monologue to go with his costume..

"After a long and exhausting battle with a clan of Vampire demons, Inuyasha had thought he was victorious, but he was bitten on the neck during the fight by the leader of the Vampire clan. He tossed and turned that night, not being able to sleep. He went to the mirror and noticed he had fangs and a powerful hunger...for blood! Inuyasha had become even more powerful. Inuyasha had become more fierce. Inuyasha had become....INUYACULA, DOG DEMON OF DARKNESS!!!

WWE Hall of Famer Passes Away: Captain Lou Albano

Happy Wednesday, everyone. Well, for me it's not such a happy Wednesday. Before I begin with the topic, I want you to know that this is NOT a kigurumi post, but it does affect me in a way. This will be a wrestling post, so those who don't like wrestling, please divert your browser, or iphone....or whatever you are using to look at this page. (I don't know really, but an iPhone would be nice to see this page on, but I digress)

Today, the world of wrestling has lost one of its true pioneers of the early 70's and 80's. I am talking of course of none other than Captain Lou Albano. Now, given that I was not around when he was at the peak of his popularity, videos off YouTube has shown me that he was truly one of the WWE's most influential people.

Albano started his career in the WWE in the late 1960s as one half of the tag team, The Sicilians. He would then go on to become a commentator and He transformed himself into the brash, bombastic manager Captain Lou Albano. With a quick wit and a grating personality, Albano delivered memorable promos that made him wrestling's most villainous manager. He earned the scorn of the wrestling audience as he attempted to dethrone WWWF champion Bruno Sammartino.

In 1971, Albano achieved his objective when "Russian Bear" Ivan Koloff ended Sammartino's seven year reign as champion. For the remainder of the 1970s, Albano's cadre of loyal henchmen were unable to resecure the championship once Sammartino won it back. Albano guided singles wrestlers such as Pat Patterson, Don Muraco and Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine to the Intercontinental Championship. Furthermore, Albano guided fifteen teams to the .

Under his tutelage, and Prof Toru Tanaka, and later Masa Saito, The Valliant Brothers, Wild Samoans, The Moondogs, and The British Bulldogs were a few of many that solidified Albano as wrestling's premiere tag team manager. By the end of his career, Albano managed over 50 different wrestlers who won two dozen championships.

By the 1980s, Albano appeared in Cyndi Lauper's "Girls Just Want to Have Fun", "She Bop", "Time After Time" and "The Goonies 'R' Good Enough" Parlaying the venture, new WWF owner Vince McMahon devised the Rock 'n' Wrestling storyline, a collaboration and cross-promotion between the newly renamed WWF and elements of the music industry. In March 1989, on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, Albano had his trademark beard shaved on the air in order to star as the iconic Mario in the live action video game spinoff, "The Super Mario Bros. Super Show". Along with Danny Wells, he co-starred in live action segments during interludes of the Mario cartoon, as well as providing the voice of his animated counterpart.

In 1996, Captain Lou Albano was enshrined into the WWE Hall of Fame for his accomplishments and contributions to professional wrestling.

So it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to one of wrestling's greatest superstars. A manager of champions, a champion in his own rights, and a lesson to us all that with a little hard work, and lots of determination, you can achieve anything your heart desires. Thank you Captain Lou, you will always be the guiding light.

Secret Photoshoot pt. 4: Cassandra The Waitress...Reporting For Duty!!!

Happy Saturday, everyone. Well, Fall is officially upon us, and it is quite cold right now. Just makes me want to fall asleep, but before I do, it's time to present a brand new photoshoot.

During Otakon, Jovina and I got a little hungry while taking photos. So, we stopped at a small diner to eat. There, we were served by a cute green haired waitress named Cassandra. She took our orders and brought us our food flawlessly, and even did the ketchup on my burger in the shape of a heart.

When she was on break, she told us about being a traveling animé waitress. How she would travel from convention to convention, and pick up part time jobs working as a waitress. She has even been the mascot for several diners across the country.

Like others, she asked us about our costumes and we told her we were moved by her dedication towards waitressing, and asked if she would like to do a photoshoot for us when she got off. She happily said yes, of course, and the shoot was done.

I had a lot of fun being a waitress. Jovina has this neat PVC skirt, and it just completed the outfit. The t-shirt featured in the shoot is one from Steel City Diner, located in Pittsburgh, PA, and is a popular spot for hungry fursuiters when they are attending conventions.

All Hands on Deck! Captain Jessica Rackam Brings Pt. 3 of Otakon Secret Photoshoots

Ahoy, and Happy Saturday, everyone! Today is September 19th, which means it's "International Talk Like A Pirate Day", a day in which everyone talks like a pirate. With that, I will...err....ahem....Yarrrr! I'm gonna spin ye a yarn of an authentic pirate, whom me and my crew met in Baltimore.

Jovina, Kiki, Athena, & I were taking photos along the harbor, when we came across a daredevil pirate, calling to us from atop the Chesapeake ship. We looks up and saw a red-headed pirate, swing down from a rope attached to the mast of the ship. She landed right in front of us, which took us (especially me) by surprise.

She introduced herself as Captain Jessica Rackam, though she told us she was known as "The Rose of the Ocean". She was incredibly beautiful...and incredibly dangerous, as she noticed Inuyasha's giant sword, she pointed her cutlass sword at his chest and asked if he would like to fight.

After explaining to her we were kigurumi performers, she laughed and asked if she could join us in our photoshoot. So, we invited her back to Jovina's house and she did her own photoshoot (and when I say invited, I mean she threatened Jovina and invited herself to the house. What can I say, she's a pirate with a sharp sword).

In honesty, this was an incredibly fun photoshoot to do, and I had wanted to be a pirate for a while now. I just wish I had a handsome male pirate to escort me and handle my precious booty. Secret Photoshoot pt. 2: Introducing...Miss Haru Midoronishi

Well here is part two of the Secret Photoshoots. On the way to Jovina's House, we stopped at a small japanese bar where had some tea, and we noticed there was this very beautiful hostess.

Her name was Haru Midoronishi, which means "flower of the midwest", who was incredibly polite to us. She also played the most beautiful music on her sashin, a three stringed banjo. Her voice was like an angel singing in a heavenly chorus. Me and Jovina talked and we asked if maybe she would like to come back and do a small photoshoot for us, and she was flattered.

She was very camera shy when we first began, but she eventually came around. We didn't ask her to do any extreme poses, just a few poses of what a normal day at the japanese bar might be like. This included pouring a drink, posing gracefully, and playing the shamisen. We want to thank Miss Midoronishi for allowing us to photograph her for our website.

Now I know a lot of you are thinking, "Cody, where did you ever find someone that beautiful to pose for your website?". I would answer...."Well....we didn't." That is of course me. I just thought a little back story would be nice. Gives the costume a little bit more essence and a small touch of a persona. You can check out Miss Haru Midoronishi in the gallery right now.

New Gallery Post: Neko Red Riding Hood pt. 1

Happy Monday, everyone. Well, it's about time I get the Secret Photoshoots I mentioned last month. So, without further delay, we begin the Secret Photoshoots, with a simple and cute one. This one is called "Neko Red Riding Hood", which tells the story of a young girl named Red, who was born with cat ears. Thus getting the title of "Neko Red Riding Hood".

Much like the story of Red Riding Hood, Neko Red Riding Hood is traveling through a strange land in order to deliver a special basket of goodies to her grandmother. However much like the story, she also gets lost in this strange land (err, Jovina's house) she is in. Will she find her way to Grandma's house? Who else will she encounter along her journey? Eight Years Later: 9-11 Anniversary Post

First off, this is NOT a Kigurumi post, so if you were expecting one, then I'm sorry. I do feel though that this is important enough to talk about since it has had an affect on my life, and I'm sure a good number of the reader's lives as well. I get a little patriotic in this post, and if you don't like that, then you might not want to read this. I promise, next post will be about Kigurumi.

At 8:46 a.m. eight years ago today, American Airlines Flight 11 was crashed into the World Trade Center's North Tower, followed by United Airlines Flight 175, which hit the South Tower at 9:03 a.m. United Airlines Flight 93, whose ultimate target was thought to be either the United States Capitol or White House, crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania at 10:03 a.m, after the passengers on board engaged in a fight with the hijackers.

9-11, was one of the most tragic events in American history. Over 3,000 were killed and 6,000 were injured. In that day, our definitions of peace, of safety, and even our security were redefined. People today still grapple with the events that took place that terrible morning. In response to the attacks, President George W. Bush, would then declare war on terror and a long battle would begin.

Now that I've talked about it a little, I want to know for those who read it, where were you when you heard about the attacks? As for me, I was only in the eigth grade, but I remember it clear as day. It was the only thing everyone talked about all day, and even after leaving school, it was all over the television. Certain channels stopped programming for the day in honor of what had happened. Even WWE Smackdown did a tribute show on September 13, 2001.

9-11 was a national tragedy, and something that will never be forgotten. It brought a country together in one common ideal. I feel that that America is, and continues to be, the greatest country in the world, and that there is no force on earth, not even Hulkamania (forgive me, I had to make the reference) that can stand up to the power of the American spirit. As our national pledge says, "One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty, & justice for all". So today, I'm not saying board yourself up in your house, but just remember what happened today, and why we're that much better as people now. This is my opinion, and many might not agree with it, but I feel honored to be able to post my feelings about what happened.

Summer 2009: A Wrap Up Report

Well, summer has almost come to it's end. Is it just me or does summer just happen to go by too quickly? Anywho, I think that this summer was quite the eventful one, and if there is any proof of that statement, you can find it right here at the Kigurumi Dojo.

As you can see by my fancy Summer To-Do bulletin board (which you can click to check it out in full depth), I had quite the doozie of a summer. Here are just a few of the many different things I got to do over Summer 2009.

Everyone's goal of Summer is to do some traveling, and that's one of the first things I did. Inuyasha cruised across the East coast to Baltimore, MD for Otakon 2009, where he hung out with several lovely female kigurumi ladies (check out the Otakon 2009 Gallery by clicking here). Inuyasha didn't just go to Baltimore, but he also got to travel to the Moon, Mt. Rushmore, Russia, and much more. (check it out on my YouTube channel).

Like most teenagers, a summer job is needed for extra spending money, and Inuyasha did that (which you can check out in his special photoshoot). He lasted longer than I had originally thought he would, being one week.

I think one of the most important things that happened over the summer was the launch of the new Kigurumi Dojo. The site can now be followed by Facebook, Twitter & by an RSS feed.

Overall, this summer has been quite the success. As Fall approaches, so does Halloween, Christmas, and a new series of photoshoots.

Passing of A Dear Friend....Arin Albatross

It is with a heavy heart that I must report on the passing of a kigurumi performer. It is never easy to do this, but I feel that being one of the closest to her, it is my duty to report. On Tuedsay, September 1st, 2009, Arin Albatross (Arin, Molly, & Kooh) died from choking to death as a result of a seizure, which she had been taking medicine for.

Arin had a most wonderful spirit, though she had a hard time expressing it. I met her in 2007 and escorted her to her first animé convention here in Ohio. (There are several videos featuring me and her on my YouTube Channel)

She also had the pleasure of performing with Kiki Feegata at Anime North in 2008. She mainly masked with two characters. Arin Albatross from Pangaya18, and her original character, Molly DeBrun, an irish red headed character. She had planned to get another mask of Kooh, the small pirate captain from Albatross18.

It is never easy to see a loved one leave us, but Arin would not want us to mourn her loss. Rather, she would want us to celebrate her life. She might not have handled herself the best in the forums, but she only wanted to be accepted by the community.

Otakon 2009: The Secret Photoshoots III & RSS

Happy Wednesday, everyone. Wow, September already? Still can't believe that summer is already winding down. Well, with the arrival of fall, there are a lot of big things coming to the Kigurumi Dojo. Along with the new look and feel to the site, there is also a series of new photoshoots on the way. If you didn't notice by the gigantic memory card photo next to me. (Big thanks to MrForScreen for allowing me to use the photo for the site)

If you've been with the Kigurumi Dojo at any time for the past two years, you know that at Otakon each year, Jovina, a fellow kigurumi performer, lets me come over to her house to hang out and try on some of her different costumes and masks, and for that I owe a tremendous thank you for. Well I went back once again this year and I got to go several cool photoshoots in several of her costumes. Inuyasha as Bus Boy is only one of the shoots we did at Otakon, and there are several more you will have to check out.

I will be uploading them in the next couple of weeks, so make sure you stay tuned to the Kigurumi Dojo for them. Speaking of staying tuned, now it is easier than ever. There are two new ways in which you can keep up with Kenshin, Inuyasha, & the happenings of the Dojo. First, is through Miharu's KigUp page for the Kigurumi Dojo. Shootin' The Moon & Surfin' the Pyramids

Happy Tuesday, everybody. It was a long weekend, but it was well worth it. School is out for three weeks, so that means only one thing...updates, updates, UPDATES. Today, I got two, count em', two videos for the price of one.

In the first of our double feature, Inuyasha takes one small step for man, one giant leap for half demon kind when he steps on the Moon. Inuyasha cruses the big lunar, and sees what it's like being 1/5 his weight on the moon. But wait....what about oxygen? Remember, in space, no one can hear you SIT!

In stop 2, Inuyasha visits Egypt, famous for its ancient civilization and some of the world's most famous monuments, including the Giza pyramid complex and its Great Sphinx. It's one hot tourist spot, and as Inuyasha will find out "HOT" is just an understatement. I hope he packed a lot of water.

Inuyasha as Shinigami (Soul Reaper from Bleach)

Good morning, everyone. Sorry for the silence, but I have just been buried in a mixture of paperwork and tissues. First off, I've been struggling with allergies (Yes, even half demons like myself have allergies, but it can be even worse, since dogs have very sensitive noses).

Aside from that, summer classes have also been a pain, but thankfully it's just about over, so three weeks until Fall quarter begins, so happy day.

Now, on to the update. Inuyasha trades in his Robe of the Fire Rat in exhance for a Shinigami (Soul Reaper) attire from Bleach. Could Ichigo Kurosaki have competition with the arrival

of this new, and possibly more powerful Soul Reaper?

Приветствия! That's russian for "Greetings".

Today, Inuyasha takes in the sights from the Motherland. This video takes place in Moscow, Russia, where our favorite half demon is touring around the Red Square near St Basil's Cathedral. He even takes in the culture and performs the "cazacioc", a traditional dance in Russia. Check out the video below.

Hey everyone,

With the summer season slowly coming to an end, Kenshin & Inuyasha have decided to pack up their bags, and see the world. (Well...maybe not pack up their bags, but have some fun with their green screen)

So, over the next couple of weeks, our boys will be doing a little globe trotting and looking at all the different sites of the world.

They'll visit such exotic places like Russia, Germany, Japan, & even tour around the US. So stay tuned to the Kigurumi Dojo for all the lastest videos.
